Ministers and MLAs at the Legislative Assembly have been busy celebrating NAIDOC Week which was held from 3-10 July. They have attended NAIDOC Week school assemblies, opened NAIDOC Week art shows, attended the Annual NAIDOC Week Ball and the Annual NAIDOC Week flag raising ceremony as well as helping to host events such as special film screenings at the NFSA and community BBQ lunches.

The Human Rights Commissioner, Helen Watchirs, launched the Commission’s Reconciliation Action Plan as part of these celebrations. The official ACT NAIDOC opening ceremony was held on Sunday 3 July at Yarramundi Reach at a well attended family day of music, stalls and picnics. For more information visit www.naidoc.org.au
